An Angel Falls travel is an unique experience, it's far from just any tourist destination. Instead, prepare not only to witness unique landscapes in the world but also to live experiences and engage in unique and memorable travel heritages. To ensure, you're well-prepared, in addition to the recommendations and detailed information, here we detail the tentative itinerary for the Canaima and Angel Falls tour... and we say "tentative", because as this is a journey where The Nature is the one who rules, it may change according to weather conditions, the group you'll share this experience with or even the flight schedules.

DAY 1

Today you'll embark on an extraordinary journey! We're heading to Canaima and will delve into its dazzling jungle to see Salto Angel waterfall up close. And as "the early bird gets the worm", it's very important to arrive at Maiquetía National Airport (Caracas) at least two hours before your scheduled flight to check in with Conviasa, which will take you on an exciting one-hour flight to Canaima.

Upon your arrival, our welcoming team awaits you at Canaima Airport. A brief but adventurous 15-minute Jeep ride and a 5-minute curiara navigation will take you to our charming Ucaima ecoLodge. Here, you'll be greeted with a refreshing welcome cocktail, followed by check-in and room allocation.

At 12:30pm, indulge in a delicious lunch, setting the stage for an afternoon of wonders!

At 2:30pm, venture on an exciting excursion to Salto El Sapo, Canaima Lagoon, and Salto El Hacha; there, you'll walk behind these vibrant and energetic waterfalls, a truly thrilling moment!!!

The day concludes with a delicious dinner and a peaceful rest, and/or you can mingle with other expedition members.

DAY 2

Wake up and shine on a wonderful new day for breakfast around 7:30am and get ready for an awe-inspiring and unique day in your life! The departure will be around 10am for the expedition to the not only highest waterfall in the world: Angel Falls, but also the planet's oldest one.

You only need to carry what you'll need for that day and for the overnight stay (you'll sleep in front of the majestic Angel Falls and tepui Auyantepui); the rest of your luggage can stay in your room waiting for your return the next day.

The journey begins with a captivating river trip in a curiara (ancestral boats used by our indigenous people) along the Carrao River to the Mayupa area (15 minutes), followed by a light 30-minute walk on flat terrain through the savannah.

We'll continue navigating the river, through the Arautaima rapids, and along the way, we'll stop at the Well of Happiness, where we'll have lunch. You can bathe in its crystal-clear waters, take photos in its beautiful and photogenic mini-waterfall... in short! You can immerse yourself in the tranquility and beauty of nature.

We proceed to Orchid Island, through the Churún River and to Ratoncito Island, right in front of Angel waterfall.

Here, you'll embark on a vigorous one-hour approx hike through dense jungle, walking a steep path on natural trails of huge roots, mud, and rocks.

We'll arrive at Laime's Viewpoint, a colossal natural stone emerging from the jungle, offering a spectacular panorama of the magnificent Auyantepui and the full glory of Angel Falls.

After a short break, a trek to the waterfall natural pool, where, if weather conditions and time permit, you can plunge into its refreshing and glorious waters.

Return to Ucaima's shelter right in front of Angel Falls for dinner with a tremendous view of the waterfall and tepui and at the same time, savoring delicious grilled or "en vara" chicken. Later, rest in comfortable closed cabins with beds and shared bathrooms.

DAY 3

Today you will wake up and have breakfast listening and seeing up close one of the most amazing gifts that Mother Nature gives us: Angel Falls! This unforgettable meal will be around 7am.

We'll start the return trip to our ecoLodge around 8am; first by the Churún River and then the Carrao River to Mayupa, with the walk across the savannah and the last 35 minutes in curiara to the main camp.

We'll enjoy lunch and,

If you travel to Angel Falls with the 3-night package (Thursday to Sunday), in the late afternoon, we'll visit the local indigenous community (from the village of Canaima). You can appreciate their cultural dances, buy unique handicrafts, and enjoy their traditional songs.

The day ends with dinner and free time to savor the moments you just lived this last days.

DAY 4

If you travel to Angel Falls with the 3-night package (Thursday to Sunday), you'll have an early breakfast and then check out around 7am to head to the airport and take the flight back to Maiquetía (Caracas).

If you travel to Angel Falls with the 4-night package (Sunday to Thursday), you'll have breakfast and you'll enjoy time to relax, take any of the many available tours like the overflight of Angel Falls (either by a small airplane or helicopter) and the Kavac Caves, which are spectacular! You can also relax in the ecoLodge's natural pool, kayak or paddleboard on the Carrao River, bike, or simply contemplate the beautiful landscape with the three majestic tepuis in front of the camp... in resume! You just need to select what do you prefer. Lunch is also included, and in the late afternoon, we'll visit the local indigenous community (from the village of Kanaimö). You can appreciate their cultural dances, buy unique handicrafts, and enjoy their traditional songs. Finally, you'll have dinner.

DAY 5

If you travel to Angel Falls with the 3-night package (Thursday to Sunday), this option is not available... you'll be already backe.

If you travel to Angel Falls with the 4-night package (Sunday to Thursday), you'll have an early breakfast and then check out around 7am to head to the airport and take the flight back to Maiquetía (Caracas).

USEFUL: Read our Tips and recommendations for your travel to Canaima as well as some other useful information about this tours and expeditions.

It is better to go on this journey in the rainy season, approximately from mid-May to the end of December, it all depends on when the rains begin and end, as this is when the curiaras can better navigate the rivers and also when the waterfalls are full of water. For the dry season we now count with a new proposal that we'll be publishing in our site very soon!

This excursion is appropriate for families with children older than 7 years.

The expedition itineraries may vary a lot depending on the group, weather and flight schedule.
